Tucked away near the bottom end of the Main Street is Wharenui a wine bar/cafe offering great food, a good selection of wines both by the glass and the bottle, and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. This establishment has been carefully renovated to retain the unique characteristics of this 280 year old property.
The name itself is of Maori origin and means The meeting House.
This establishment was set up in 2003 so that the people of Haworth and visitors to the area could have somewhere to go to meet their friends/make new friends, in a welcoming environment.
